What This Reference Does
Ohio public records can be available through the office that keeps them, but finding the correct custodian is often the difficult part. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office operates the county inmate inquiry, and its detail records can display booking information and a photo when the agency makes those fields public. Zanesville Police has a separate New World custody interface. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has a separate offender search for state custody and supervision, while the Muskingum County Clerk of Courts holds the continuing case record.
We gather those official starting points, explain the limits of each one, and distinguish current custody from a later court disposition. The home page brings together the county roster, records-request route, court path, and local booking-feed limits. It does not keep a copy of the government record, control an agency database, or republish booking photographs.
Sources and Topics
The content is organized around the actual Muskingum County systems reviewed for this location. Those routes change with custody status, so a county roster, municipal jail search, state offender profile, and court docket should not be treated as the same record.
- The home page describes the official MCSO custody search, booking-record requests, Ohio law, and the available paths for released or older records.
- Sheriff's Most Wanted explains the Sheriff's dynamic wanted page, safe tip reporting, and the court-and-agency route for a warrant question.
- Mugshots in the News identifies Muskingum County reporting sources and shows how to follow a story to the agency record and court docket.
- City pages identify Zanesville, New Concord, and South Zanesville police or custody channels without pretending that a city has a public feed when none was verified.
Limits of This Site
This is a privately operated reference site. It is not connected with the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office, the Muskingum County Jail, ODRC, a court, a police department, or another government agency. It cannot confirm someone’s present custody, arrange release, post bond, schedule a visit, produce an official report, or give legal advice.
- We cannot release, hold, transport, or otherwise manage anyone in custody.
- We cannot change an agency record, a booking photo, a court docket, or a publisher’s listing.
- We cannot determine whether a warrant is active or whether a court filing resolves a case.
- We cannot guarantee that an office address, phone number, fee, or published interface remains current.
Only the originating agency, records custodian, or court can confirm a current official record. Booking entries are accusations, and every person is presumed innocent unless and until a court decides otherwise.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search boxes operated by third-party providers that set their own prices, terms, and result methods. If a visitor chooses a paid partner service after using one of those tools, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the reference material. We do not set a partner’s price, control its results, or guarantee the availability of its service.
