Information You Provide
Search entries
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider’s own terms and privacy notice govern its handling of a submitted query.
Messages
If a visitor sends a message or email, we may retain the contact details and message needed to reply or address the request. We do not disclose that message outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most sites, the service and its providers may receive technical information when a page loads. This data helps operate the site, understand error patterns, and measure general use.
- Internet protocol address and general connection information.
- Browser type, version, device type, and operating system.
- Pages visited, referring page, and approximate time spent.
- Time stamps and diagnostic information associated with a request.
Cookies
Cookies and comparable browser storage may help measure site use and remember limited preferences. A browser can block or delete cookies, although some features or partner tools may behave differently after that choice.
How Information Is Used
We use available information to operate and improve the site, route a search query to the selected provider, understand which content is useful, investigate technical problems, and support advertising that may be based on broad interests. We do not use a visitor’s query to create an official public record.
Links and Outside Services
The site links to Sheriff, police, court, corrections, jail-roster, public-records, and other outside pages. Examples include the Muskingum County inmate inquiry, the Sheriff's Records Division, and the Muskingum County Clerk of Courts. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the receiving site’s privacy practices control. Ohio public records are governed by Ohio Revised Code § 149.43 and any applicable exemptions, but a government page’s records policy is separate from this Privacy Notice.
Advertising partners may use their own tools to measure activity across websites or to serve interest-based advertisements. That activity occurs under the partner’s systems and policies.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be shared with service providers that need it for a defined function or where a lawful demand requires disclosure.
- Search partners that process a query submitted through their tool.
- Analytics providers that help measure site performance and use.
- Advertising networks that support advertising delivery and reporting.
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Measures
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No internet-connected service can promise complete security, and visitors should avoid sending sensitive material through an ordinary contact message.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may ask for its deletion through the contact route.
Your Privacy Choices
A visitor may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held through a direct message, subject to legal and operational limits. A visitor may also ask to limit certain processing where applicable. These choices do not change a public record kept by a court, Sheriff, police department, jail, or corrections agency.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as the service, vendors, or legal requirements change. A revised notice takes effect when posted here, so visitors should review it periodically.
